We do have another game this week...that will influence team selection. Ralph will be more aware of fitness issues than we are. Or he could just be wrong...who knows
I wish Tella, Lyanco and Stephens all a quick and speedy recovery, of course. But if we're being honest, it could have been a whole lot worse for us. Fingers crossed it doesn't spread any further.
And maybe if we didn't have another game in 48 hours (and then another five days after that), Ralph would be more willing to risk a half fit player. But as it is, as I say, I think what Ralph has done is understandable. Even though it does mean having Theo starting. Take Stu for example, we've missed him terribly this season. I would much rather suck it up and have Theo starting today, than start with Stu and risk him limping off after 30 mins and be out for another two months. One game isn't worth the risk.
If I recall correctly, it was a trip to London exactly four years ago which ended Fraser's Saints career (aside from a handful of games last season, most of which were meaningless). It would be nice it that could come full circle today, and he walks away as MOTM in a 1-0 win.
I wonder which day the three of them tested positive on? And I assume they are full pcr positives Because this means at least a week of isolation so likely missing the spurs match but hopefully in contention for Newcastle ?
Yeah but could’ve started with just Broja up front and added Diallo into the midfield. Think he would be more useful than Walcott
