Maybe, but then Chelsea dished out a few hammerings at the start of the 08/09 and 10/11 seasons and they didn't sustain their challenges. City may well stroll to the PL title this season as easily as Mourinho's Chelsea did in his first couple of seasons, but it's still to early to be certain imo. The true test will come when players get injured or out of form and they have to fight for scrappy 1-0 wins rather than strolling to big ones. I think the result reflected the fact that we just didn't play smartly or tactically after we went a goal down. We just kept attacking without defending properly and left so many gaps at the back that City were able to ruthlessly exploit. I agree that against a less effective attacking side we would have conceded less, but then if we'd played more defensively, made some defensive substitutions and tried to keep it tight rather than going straight for the equalizer we'd also have conceded less. And by the last 20 minutes or so we just weren't trying.
They were the same with us yesterday talk about getting carried away. We will have to gang up on them when it all goes wrong. We'll need to gang up because there are millions of them.
Tell her to **** off then mate. In regards to the game - fair play to Citeh the better team won. I'm not taking anything away from Citeh at all but I was absolutely disgusted with the attitudes of some of our players. I saw better defending in my Sunday league team this morning, they were embarassing and some seemed to throw the towel in. I'm embarrased for some of the players today
Now thats a **** day! I havent spoken to the girl who turned me down a couple of weeks back! It went from amazing to feeling the worst ive felt in ages in a week!! Not sure whats worse though. Wouldn't want to lose 6-1 at home. - Hard luck btw though. I feel your pain.
Yeah, I agree. He's not been great for a while - perhaps because of injury, perhaps because of age. Think you should have Smalling, Jones, Vidic and Evans as your 4 CBs, with Ferdinand only used to cover injuries.
We do! Unfortunately, with Vidic and Rafael injured two of our centre backs are already spoken for and Jones is still a bit raw to play CB without an experienced partner.
Ah yeah, I suppose. It's just you sometimes see people going on about how the defence would improve if Rio was back (admittedly mostly on Sky and in the media) as if he's your number 1 centre back. Who would you say was your best pairing if all were fit? Vidic and..?
No worries mate. I did pull her, but it led to nothing. I'm not even talking to her now though, which is a shame as I enjoyed being friendly. Probably won't see here for another 7-8 years either! (last time I saw her at school)! Oh well onto the next.
