    I remember he had a pop at Botham once.

    Never saw him play but remember his commentating when cricket was on the BBC

    I find cricket commentators are more honest than football ones and he was no different

    enjoyed his voice in the background

    He led Leicestershire to a first County Championship in 1975 ... I lived on the next street to Grace Rd and, although not big cricket fans, me and my cousins bunked over the wall for the final session ... ground was heaving ... nice pitch invasion at the end ... happy memories. Was 15 years old.
