None of us like Christmas pud, mince pies etc. so it makes deserts difficult. My daughter-in-law is both pregnant and a chocoholic so it works for her!
Well, back from my sisters. Turkey wrapped in bacon, chorizo pigs in blankets, normal pigs in blankets, sausage meat stuffing, peas, carrots, suede/sweet potato mash, sprouts with chestnuts, parsnips, roasties and cauliflower cheese. Pudding was pear tart with custard & cream, followed by cheesecake, had to swerve the mince pies christmas pudding for health reasons. Currently slightly uncomfortable, but I can breathe normally, which is better than 3 years ago when my other sister did a 'carvery' and all I could do was pant for about 3 hours.
Quessy winning this so far with his combo of mash and roast spuds, ham, turkey, crackling, a decent looking cauliflower cheese all served up in a fat b’tard size portion. I’m not loving the look of those runner beans though, so there’s still scope for somebody else to snatch this trophy.
Headz up to @Chief for this. I mean, he didn’t buy it for me the tight bastard, but it’s a great pan. Looking forward to making a big **** off spanish omelette with chorizo in that for breakfast tomorrow.
