The Guardian are reporting on different and more up to date data than the Mail, and they're not putting anything like the same spin on it, but let's not let facts get in the way.
The Mail are reporting from the same source as the Guardian and had the same story on their front page yesterday. But don't let facts get in the way. Why are you reading the Mail anyway, surely the Guardian is the only trustworthy news outlet?

You accuse the Mail of an agenda for using a set of figures more optimistic than the Grauniad. Then it turns out the figure is higher than the Mail's original one, though it was nearer the mark than the Grauniad. So the Mail was more accurate and your outrage was unjustified. Both papers carry the new figures showing g who was closer originally. But don't let facts get in the way.
