    Don't think I ever used a call card. Was that like a pre paid card that you had to dial about 20 numbers and then a code and then the number you were wanting to call?

    Something like that, can't really remember, popular among foreigners/immigrants, think it was a cheaper rate, before mobiles so a lot of people used them rather than scratching around looking for coins. Another whizz popular among the Irish and probably everyone but came from building sites, the old phones recognised the coin by weight so lads would wrap 10p coins with duct tape and it would register as a 50p coin for phoning home. :cheesy:
