Miserable ****. I like Xmas. I get an extra blozza of pouchies missus. And I have a reason to be a drunken bum.
Like Pouchy, I hate the commercialisation. for many people about 11% of their year is spent shopping amidst overpriced/overhyped ****e, with the likes of Tesco/John Lewis etc whacking adverts on the telly to guilt you into spending money with them - anyone would think they were passing it straight on to charities the way they play on the heartstrings. and within 24 hours (at most!) of Christmas morning there’s 30% off of loads of that stuff - it’s for mugs, I see it, but I have kids and parents and social expectations so inevitably end up spending …. but I try to limit it to £20 for family and pretty much £no-upper-limit for the kids. it makes me puke. People living near me had outside lights on their houses in November…. it’s all so self-fulfilling love the dinner though!
Just googled it, yeah that sounds nice like. Turkey would be my last choice for a sunday roast, let alone christmas dinner The ribbe and pinnekjøtt would be class

Mines not until the 30th like. Just in time so I can make an excuse for not participating in the new year ****e.. It was, only good when you were kids doing the rounds drinking when you were underage.
Ribbe and Pinnekjøtt are ****ing delicious, especially the pinnekjøtt. I've not met a single immigrant who doesn't think that **** is delicious, blows Turkey away.
Probably losing me a few Muslim brownie points, but I like Christmas as well. 2nd one in a row I have had to spend in Jakarta though. Seems a bit strange with Christmas songs on the car radio and the temperature showing 35degC. Tomorrow will be a run first, then going out for Christmas Brunch in one of the hotels, then visiting the wife’s mother. She is a Christian, having switched to Islam when she married wife’s Dad and then back again, when they divorced.
Tbh anyone celebrating their religion I can fully understand it.. I just don't like what Christmas actually is now.
You don't have to do the corporate holiday you know? Just enjoy the day. Call it whatever you want. Imagine it's Christmas Day and you're in Australia. The smell of the BBQ and a few cans of beer. A few fireworks can be seen in the distance
