Match Day Thread Hull City v Blackburn Rovers

I was in the east stand. All I could see was this lass that went to St Mary's College. We were still in junior and primary school then. I was 12 nearly 13.
We used to bomb to St Mary's on our bikes straight after school to eye up the talent.
She was one of that talent.
My eyes were misty that night and it was Jack didly doodoo to do with the fog.
I believe Knighton was played for Blackburn that night.
Needless to say that romance didn't work out but other stuff is quite memorable.
It was nil nil

 

Worrying not knowing who may be out


Cliff Byrne has confirmed there are multiple cases of Covid across the Hull City camp.

The Tigers saw Grant McCann test positive this week and they will be without their head coach for Boxing Day’s clash

 

There were no refunds at the first game either!

I am pretty sure Knighton played for them in the first game.

 

Don’t worry, got a negative pcr result today. If I can sort a lift I’ll be available.

Indeed he did.....probably the only player to play for both teams in the same fixture!!!!!

 

Had the test Monday afternoon, came back this afternoon.

We’re currently 3 down from 7 for Xmas Lunch but one’s due for release Xmas Day,

One of the Jr's had one 2 weeks ago, results the next day

I thought so, my daughter had one on Tuesday & it was back Wednesday. Hers was positive though so I’m glad they took their time with mine & did a more thorough job.

 

did mine Monday came back this morning unfortunately positive so missing this one, mind you doesn't sound good for city's squad with a number of positive cases

 

Hope it doesn’t develop too bad & you’re ok.

With some games already called off today I’m wondering at what point a decision on City’s game will be made.

I’m guessing it depends on how many have tested positive, how many have symptoms & how many others are affected as close contacts. It must be a nightmare for clubs (as well as any other employers) at the minute, keeping all staff protected.

 

Had my test Sunday afternoon... negative ... and got the result by 11 Monday morning... to be fair still don't feel right..

 

So we will be without the half time team talk from him. Time to prove yourself Cliff

 

Point will be a bonus against this lot.

 

It's going to depend on the testing results today ( Xmas Eve ) if there's any more positive, then an application to postpone the game will go into the league

 

Chances are there may be. If its in the camp that is.

Let's hope it's true this variant is less severe in terms of impact on the lads long term.
