WHY bring Stoke (my club) into this debate? We were ulucky to only draw v Utd, LUCKY to beat Liverpool and V Persie made the difference today. I expected a hammering today but not the one at O.T.
No we don't. Gervinho got a goal and 2 assists today. Robin is an outstanding player and outstanding players shine in any team. Fabregas carried us when we had Nasri and Van Persie. Top players do that. Ramsey was also a class act today and we have finally found a GK. Out of our top 5 players, we are missing three and yet we are now just 2 points behind a Liverpool side that had all the hype and have not had as much injuries as Arsenal. Also lets not forget the amount of players we had to get in at the last minute so it will take time to gel as a team. So we have no problem with our world class player doing the business while we gel as a team.
You brought these two in the winter transfer window. Our buys where last minute stuff. Our fault no doubt and that is the reason why we have yet to gel as a team. Hence its pretty amazing that we have won 6 out of 7 and are now only 2 points behind you and 3 behind the Spuds.

I'm not offering any excuses and that was certainly not our third team out there. However a team consisting of: Szczesny, Koscielny, Djourou, Jenkinson, Traore, Rosicky, Walcott, Ramsey, Arshavin, Coquelin, Van Persie can hardly be called a third team could they? I'm at a loss as to why you feel the need to say this as clearly they were not your third team so maybe you could enlighten me?
Not really. I'd love to lay into United right now. Sure, I'm sitting here laughing but at the end of the day United are still miles better than both our teams so gloating just seems so pathetic when we're in no position ourselves to laugh at them.
