I hate Christmas and I'm sure others do to.

Why do you hate Christmas? Or what things don't you like about Christmas?

 

Turkey is boring. It's like the Reading FC of meats

 

For example I hate cliff Richard, Christmas Dinner and I hate people acting like somethings special

 

Buying and writing out cards is another I hate, they get binned anyway, I only buy them to stop my family twisting. Don't get me started on wrapping presents!

 

It's just this ott let's all be fake for one day I hate the most. I know everyone's thinking this is ****

 

Even kids end up wanting more and already start wishing away their lives until the next one come tea time

 

Just get drunk for a week

 

I just have to put up with one day. I don't switch on TV or go on facebook. That way I'm protected from the disgusting and ridiculous ordeal

Biggest heap of **** ever. Buying crap for people who will buy crap for you. Keep your money and I'll keep mine. The usual 2 weeks off is the only positive I can think of.

Overrated especially at Christmas.

Not at all. Have a christmas dinner 1 year then go out for a curry the next for a change

 

Love Christmas. Love the drinking. Love the spending quality time with family. Love catching up with old mates. Love that the daily grind stops. Love board games. If you don’t enjoy Christmas lunch, you’re making a **** one. It’s like a pimped up Sunday roast

However…

Hate that it has become solely about money for too many people and businesses. Not religious at all, and can understand why it’s drifted away from the original meaning into something more inclusive for all. But ****s have turned into the usual I’ve got more than you contest, shops start earlier and earlier every year, and the corporate money world have corrupted it so the have nots feel worse than ever before. Hate that we’ve had folk try to stop nativities for fear of upsetting someone. **** off I’ve seen some hilarious **** in those over the years.

Overall though it’s still a great time of year. An Iranian chap I’ve been doing work for, Muslim and doesn’t celebrate Xmas reminded me it’s just about being a half decent human really. Nice guy, wished me a Happy Christmas and New Year despite not celebrating it himself. Wished him and his family good health and hope he enjoys the break regardless. Just a quality exchange with a bloke I had little in common with.
