Indeed it was a terrible idea. But as I said back in April, the clamour meant we had to give it a go. Now everyone can see its a waste of space, they should be big enough to just get shot of it. I never understood why people couldn't get their head round, its still a human making the call. So human error remains. I had hoped that with the additional support of time and video, they'd make better calls, but its actually not the case. They still make a load of common sense defying decisions, and the uproar is simply amplified because people think "even with technology they still get it wrong!". Plus its just another thing for the top clubs to corrupt which I suspect they probably have with pressure behind the scenes. Just ditch it and learn a bit of respect. You get bad decisions now and again, you accept them and move on. The game is so much ****ter now because of it. It just doesn't flow and is stop start. I can't understand why anyone who loves football wants VAR. The goal line tech is fine though.
