Good that they've gone fairly strong tonight. The odd short-term injury or red card wouldn't be a disaster.
This will be interesting to see who learned what from the matchup earlier in the year. We nullified them very effectively and could do so again, whether we score tho.. all bets are off.
This may not be news (to anyone else) but Antonio has tested positive for Covid, so won't be playing. Probably.
Spurs v West Ham was in London as was Brentford v Chelsea, as was Arsenal v Sunderland over the last 2 nights. All went ahead. The PL has re-invoked emergency Covid protocols for players so the fact it's being played in London really means little. The chances of either Saints or West Ham picking up enough cases between now and Sunday for the game to be called off are slim.
Plus they played yesterday and lost with Ralph declaring we have a fully fit squad, sure Moyes will find a few cases to get it postponed until they have everyone back. A bit like Brentford he cheated us out the last weekends game
Pretty sure West Ham have a mostly available squad. We potentially have more absences as Armstrong and Adams won’t be ready and McCarthy is injured Also we might still be forced to play Caballero If West Ham call this off it will be because their players have all gone out in covid hotspots between now and then and they suddenly get circa 10 cases.
This was a wild game at the old Boleyn Ground. We needed a point to stay up and Le Tiss was at his magical best on the day. I love it when he's lining up to take a freekick and you can hear Spammers fans singing "he's got a ****ing big nose" and he plants it in the top corner!...
