The BBC had a story on hundreds of trains cancelled. That was actually 5.2 percent. When asked later how Xmas bookings on the rail was going they said 33 percent down. Only need to do the maths to work out a scaremongering story.

I heard on the radio earlier, that across the whole rail network, 9% of all staff are currently off sick/isolating, that's a hell of a lot of people.

    .
One driver may be operating on up to 10 services per day. So it is a massive problem.
Unlike bus drivers, a train drive has to be trained to drive on a particular line. You cannot just draft a driver in from somewhere else.

Over 100,000 new cases in the past 24 hours, the first time new cases have hit six figures in a day.

Wouldn’t say that, although d&c is a successful recent tactic used by many with far more power than me.

It was a suggestion. An alternative view of freedoms.

Whilst maintaining the freedom to choose whether or not to be vaccinated it also considers the freedoms of those that have done the right thing & had the vaccination.

Like freedom of speech, you can say what you like but there may also be consequences after you say it.

Why should people who choose not to be vaccinated negatively impact the lives of those that choose to be vaccinated?

People are free to choose but should be aware that there may be consequences that come with their choice.

As many know I’ve recently had a long stay in hospital. The consequence of other people’s choices (not getting vaccinated) affected the length of stay, the visitor (or lack of visitors) I could see, my family, my & other members of my family’s mental health, my physical health & many other things.

People are again having treatment put on hold as a direct consequence of people not getting vaccinated.

People who refuse to be vaccinated are negatively affecting the lives of millions of people everyday. I can’t think of a single negative affect having my vaccination has had on me or one other person, let alone millions of people.

The sooner people are vaccinated & accept that sporadic boosters (like other vaccinations) may well be necessary the sooner we’ll return to some kind of normality.

The reason we are where we are now is because of people not getting vaccinated. Why should those who do bear the brunt of it?

It is the same sort of rubbish that was spouted about covid jabs being responsible for Eriksen collapsing at the Euros. It turned out he hadn't been vaccinated.

    Quite.

Honestly? I'd not be surprised if Aguero hasn't taken it, especially if he's had a heart scare before. I genuinely have no idea.

It wouldn't load for me. Is the Le Tissier involved a medical expert?

I like you Ben but the fact that you think every single person being vaccinated is going to be the solution is incorrect. People who have been vaccinated are still passing on the illness. It’s clearly not a solution. It may solve hospital visitations etc, temporarily, , it may not, because as I’m sure you’ve seen that ‘the rules’ are changed on a seemingly daily basis.

I’ve always said that those who want to be vaccinated should be free to do so, similarly those that don’t should have the same freedom of choice. Saying that vaccine free people are a danger in passing it on is crazy when ‘the science’ clearly shows that vaccinated people do the the exact same thing.

Not as much of an expert on contagious infections as someone who works in a garage or a football pundit, obviously.
