Hume was murdered by pepe but pepe is a £70m+ winger. Those 3 center backs aren't good enough. This was an extreme example of our problem in the league. They can't deal with any sort of clever movement or physicality and undermine the attack. January can't come quickly enough.

Well said A bit if perspective, 42 pyramid places between us and them, Pepe cost them £72m Stewart once went for £500 and his dad had to pay that. We put up a good show but their class showed. Let's concentrate on getting out of this third division and attract more quality into the club
I have to be honest and say I think 5-1 flatters us quite a bit, especially based on how that first half went. You had some very good chances. Leno had to make some saves and you hit the post in the second half, too. You were exploiting the acres of space left behind by our marauding fullbacks and looked dangerous in transition through midfield too. You play some good football. Our crowd were getting very tetchy as well. But I think, in the end, our technical quality proved to be a bit too much for yous. I know this wasn't all our first-team, but there were still a lot of seasoned Premier League players with plenty of top flight and international experience on the pitch. Pepe alone probably cost more than your entire squad 5 times over, which speaks volumes about what you're up against in terms of gulf of resources. You certainly didn't disgrace yourselves tonight. And your away fans were in top voice. Excellent following. I have no doubt that if you continue to play like that in the league, you'll be promoted. All the best for the rest of the season
Pepe was signed for countless millions v our defence cost very little if anything what did we realistically expect to happen , in general didn’t think it was a 5-1 game and they are flying high in the premier league . Take the defeat and move on with a positive reaction at Doncaster , I don’t think they will be quite as good as Arsenal .
I thought we did great. We had to hope Arsenal would be **** on the day and clearly that didn't happen but we more than did our bit as far as I'm concerned.
It wasn’t a 5-1 game but our defence made it that, some very poor play tonight at the back. Such a shame cos we made some great chances and played well further up the field.
Don't forget we were playing away and a disjointed team through injuries. Ok they played some younguns but again they're a top prem team with class in reserves. And I didn't realise Paul merson was 93 years old
