Been terrible since he's came on, I'm alright with the performance but the defence was ****e. Bit of a downer though if we lose broadhead

Can’t help but think Humes heart really isn’t in it and he doesn’t want to be here, never did having ****ed us about for months. How many of those goals were as a consequences of his positioning and ****e general play?

That was never a 5-1 game IMO. We played some tidy stuff but couldn’t do the basics when it came to defending.

Hope some of the players grow from this. Sadly several won't.

Well that game emphasised, if we needed it highlighted, was that defensive mistakes are our main problem.

We will get promoted, if we can keep clean sheets...money in Jan or is Arby the answer?

Should never had came on, again Johnson changed the shape of the team when broadhead went off. Kimpioka straight replacement and Gooch stays where he was.

Can add “played at the Emirates” to his cv for when we peddle him.

Scoreline definitely flatters Arsenal. We were never winning it, but gave a cracking account of ourselves and did the fans proud. That Nketiah seems a bellend mind, embarrassing diving when they were out of sight.

First half was great. We really acquitted ourselves well and were in the game.

Broadhead going off and reverting to a flat back 4 changed the flow of the game and Arsenal simply overrun us in the second half.

I’m going to say nothing negative about tonight. There were some mistakes but we were playing a team on as good a run as us against teams 2 divisions above. I’m a very proud Sunderland fan and can’t see negativity from tonight. With broadhead we looked as good as they did. Better for around 20 minutes of the first half. Their quality shone through. We probably could’ve made it more difficult, but so what. Proud fan tonight. Very proud

Squad of two halves, midfield forward did well, defence generally poor barring burge who had a decent game despite the score.

I thought we pressed really well throughout the whole game. I know the defending was the best, but more than half of those goals would not be scored by league one opposition, that is difference between the leagues.

Broadhead going off really hampered us. Whenever we won the ball back we didn’t have an outlet, no broadhead, dajaku, McGeady, diamond etc. No outlet caused 45mins of constant defending where we were always going to concede.

Cracking effort from embleton, arguably the only highlight of the 2nd half for us

3 goals came as a direct result of him not getting close to pepe and giving him loads of space. Saying that though I'll not slag the team performance as I think we were brilliant going forward. Big shout out to the fans also
