You took full advantage of Evans dismal and tore us apart thereafter.

At 11 vs 11 I thought it was pretty even with United seeing more of the ball but Man City finishing off the only real chance from either side.

Hopefully this will give our players a kick up the arse and we can come back and catch City. We really need to sign a new central midfielder though, please Sir Alex, PLEASE!

This. City's players were more clinical, more effective and more passionate than ours. The scoreline didn't flatter you at all, which is embarrassing in itself.

Cannot see this happening to be honest in Jan. But you never know. Depends how we are doing the Champions League and how new blood in CM SAF thinks he needs in Jan if the title race is tight. How about introducing Pogba?

Thanks to both of you for taking the time to comment, a great game for us today and long overdue though the sending off does take the edge off a little , only our second win since 1974 i believe. (sure to be corrected if wrong)

I would like to see Pogba get a few games but it's far too early to be reliant on him. I must say that i'm looking forward to Cleverly coming back to get some energy in the middle.

Cleverly has been missed. His movement and passing is far far superior to that of Fletcher. Time we sold Fletcher off to a small club, you know someone like Newcastle.

City looked impressive today an clinically punished us. Balotelli is looking a good prospect as well.

Maybe but he may end up homeless at this rate going by his firework displays.

I forgot they were playing, that'll do nicely Newcastle are now level on points, (wife and sons team) and i would love them to finish in the top 5 and the King Kennys lot fail again. <laugh>

I doubt he'd even get a game for Newcastle or Villa.

I was just gonna say, I think I speak for most Toon fans when I say no thanks, not interested. Absolutely no way he'd get a game ahead of Cabaye or Tiote.

EDIT: I think I speak for ALL Newcastle fans in saying that

No thanks - we don't want your castoffs. By the way, how's it feel to be outclassed?

Yep, fair play to 'em. Gave United quite possibly the kick up the arse they needed. outclassed today, but we're not done, not by a long chalk!
