The referee could sue for being conned into thinking he was refereeing 2 football teams, probably have more chance of winning than Newcastle <laugh>

This is possibly the worst the Premier league has ever been. Newcastle have won one game all season but have a run of decent games now and a couple wins will probably lift them out the bottom 3.

30 points could be enough to stay up. Burnley, Watford, Norwich and Leeds are just as terrible as the mags.

Was listening to radio Newcastle on the way home from work for the team news and caught the last part of a phone call from a mag - apparently they should sue the referees association for loss of earnings if they go down! He even got laughed at by John Anderson but he was deadly serious. ****ing idiot!

"Wor wasn't given a penalty the refs are against us on orders of the Premier league!" Sticks finger in ears and shouts lalalalalala if anyone mentions the fact they were beating by 4 goals not ****ing one. The ref could have told the keeper he wasn't allowed to use his ****ing hands and they still would have went away with no points as they had 5 shots 1 in target ****ing idiots.

noticed a couple of mags having a wee bit of a chuckle at our result in the quarter final...couple of points there lads, we scored more than you did at the emirates, we had more chances and more on target than your team managed, who were your team playing in the quarter final again, i must have missed it somewhere...

...besides which, as you are all so happy to remind us on any occasion when you have lost an argument, we are in the third division which is *TWO divisions lower than arsenal and your good selves (*just in case some cannot count) but we still did better than your team did!!

Oh but they are saying we only played Arsenal reserves! They forget that just one of those players probably cost more than our full team.

I would go further than the full team, one of those players cost as much as our club.

So the premier League want them relegated because of the Saudi takeover, this is the same premier League who approved the Saudi takeover. I'm slightly confused

Pepe and White both individually cost more than the price of our club. Pepe twice as much, White nearly double.

    Others cost money no doubt.

OOPS, one of the Mags main transfer targets has a choice now <doh>

Guaranteed PL football next season for a big club ...

... or a possible away game at Wigan in the Championship.

"Newcastle face competition from Man Utd and Tottenham in the race to sign Kieran Trippier, 31, from Atletico Madrid.

Let's see - a relegation fight although they would pay over the odds or a chance to play in the Champions League...........:emoticon-0138-think

IMO, Trippier still has a lot to give. 31 is nothing for a player that looks after himself. Assuming he has, he would be a good signing for any of the "top" clubs.

They might have had a chance of signing Trippier IF no-one else was in for him. They have no chance of signing him ahead of those 2 clubs

Names like Trippier, Jones and Ramsay make me smile - these are exactly the sort of car crash signings (wring side of 30, massive wages, no real desire to be there) I expected from Stavely Utd.

A sort of Michael Owen for the modern age
