Even those fully vaccinated can pick up and spread around the virus, maybe the vaccinated should stay home too. The symptoms are in many cases like a mild winter cold so people are going around spreading this killer virus without even knowing, maybe everyone should stay home.
Anyone that thinks the virus and views on vaccination are somehow associated with a political divide, really hasn't been following events. That sort of conversation has no place on here in any event.
My apologies if I've caught some decent posts in the hoover, but I couldn't be arsed to spend too long in that cess pit. Behave for **** sake.
Most festive sport in Scotland will be "effectively spectator-free" as the government continues the fight against Covid-19's Omicron variant. The restrictions, affecting all levels of sport, start on 26 December for a three-week period. Outdoor events will be limited to 500 people, with one metre social distancing in place, first minister Nicola Sturgeon has confirmed. It comes amid surging numbers of Omicron cases across the country. ....................................... Nothing new there then.
30% of Londons population is ethnic and its something like 78% of that ethnic population that are unvaccinated...
If people can't behave can you take it to the 'new owners thread' - as Den needs to get the post count up to win the sweepstake...
COVID-19: UK reports another 90,629 COVID cases and 172 deaths in latest 24-hour period in latest 24-hour period.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson has confirmed that no further COVID restrictions will be put in place before Christmas as there is currently not enough evidence on the severity of Omicron to justify doing so.
Well, that's great news for everyones family Christmases, but what's the betting he'll suddenly find the evidence compelling on Boxing Day? All this fannying around when its bleeding obvious they're going to bring in some kind of tighter restrictions is a nonsense for anyone trying to make arrangements between Christmas and New Year (ie most of us)
What choice do they have? Either they lockdown now on the off-chance things get much worse, or they wait to see if things get worse and then lockdown if necessary. I don't really see how things could be done any differently.
He could actaully say were going to carry on without any restrictions or uncertaintity or are were going to be doing lockdowns every winter from now on in with all the resulting damages that go with it ? Theres enough data already in from South Africa, Denmark and yesterday from Hong Kong, all of them say the same and that Omicron really is much more milder and much less of a danger than prevuios varaints. At some point we have to say enough is enough and live with it.
