Ive dwelt on this point a few times on other posts [ not they are / or not doing anything coaching wise ] but we do not have a midfield/attacking background coach's ... BCFC/ NP got rid / they left!!! so without the attention being put on opposing teams in their penalty area by our attack, our defence is under constant pressure, so likely to make more errors get tired /slowly react/ etc A 50% v 50% gives theoretical possession of 45 mins each on the ball ... we get an average of 37 mins to oppossitions of 53 mins ...... in our 852 mins of possession we have scored a goal every 33 mins opposition has scored 1 every 34 mins [ thats why -9 goals difference] so assumming we got 53 mins play for the next 23 games and goal ratio was same we would score 37 goals and opposition would score 25, end season on 63 v 61 ! the caveat is that should we increase our time on the ball, takes pressure off defence, if our time, most of our time is in their half /penalty box , thus possibly scoring more and conceeding less ... .... so theoretical could be on low side .... and we score more say every 27 mins? ... conceed less .. say every 3 7 mins .. and potential is gain more points!
