Torres played just fine with Gerrard tucked in behind him - who's to say he would have played any worse with Suarez there?
Same. Going to be good. Such a shame Carroll isn't doing it. Maybe he can turn it around, you never know.
I think it would help if he got his head in the right place. Regardless of his playing style, he could definately be putting in better performances than he currently is, we're not expecting him to suddenly set the prem on fire! But he looks awful compared to when he was at Newcastle, do you think he ever wanted to come to us last January?
I didn't think he wanted too. That was fairly obvious when he told the Newcastle fans just that! That he didn't want to leave. I think he is suffering from a loss of confidence, the massive price tag, the pressure we have here, and the fact he's actually quite average! He should be good for 14 odd goals though. I have to say I'm not a fan, although I will try and stick by him as he's one of ours. Getting a little annoyed though.
If City play like today, they'll beat us both times. But they won't play like today every week, and indeed they haven't played like today every week. They haven't been great in the CL, and have had one or two dodgy PL performances. If they do similar at Anfield, we'll beat them.
FFS we all know what our major problem is. There's only been 9 matches and you're panicking already. If we were playing like we did under Voy then you would have a very good argument but we are not! I'm no great lover of stats but they clearly show that we create more opportunities per game than any other team in the league. If we were not creating then we would have a very serious problem. As for Arsenal. its clear that they haven't reolved their defensive problems and you cannot rely on V. Persie to last the season. If Blackburn can peg Spurs back after being 1-0 down then it shows that they aren't as good as they think. It's far too early to push the panic button.
It kills me that we got him for the same price as Aguero. I know the latter is on greater wages, but had we have offered him 120k at the club he supposedly had a love for then I think we could have brought him to Anfield. We panic bought when Suarez and Kuyt could have held the fort until the summer.
Who said I was panicking, but I am bloody annoyed that, judging by today's results, we could've progressed. As it is we made a tit's arse of matches we should've won. It's nothing new, though. We did the same under Rafa. If we learn by those cock-ups all well and good. We are creating, so there's the improvement on last season. Good. If we could go one better, excellent. That's all I'm saying. Are you saying that's too much of an ask?
What makes me laugh with irony is that Newcastle are doing just fine without him, thank you very much. If he didn't want to leave Newcastle, then why the **** did he?
Ca$hly probably said he'd make life "difficult" for him if he didn't leave. Although I'm sure the higher wages would've seemed attractive to Carroll too.
Maybe. If he can't be arsed, though... And like I've said in the past how can we know if he never bloody starts?
You'd think Comolli, with all his stats would be able to find us a poacher relatively cheaply. They don't need to be amazing with the ball, just need to be there to get that final touch.
