I'd planned this week a 'FNMT - we love and welcome Acun Ilıcalı' - but Lamberettaman started his - best live bands thread, if it all goes wrong now...
tell me you’d rather sit and listen to your MIL for 8 hours than make up a non-job that not only will keep you busy and out of the firing line but will actually get you credit. I spent a large part of my last visit to my MIL rummaging around in the garage “tidying”as she hasn’t been properly inside for years (spiders). In fact my other half was there with me seeking refuge too!
Theres a certain level of hell specifically reserved for both of my ex ones. They (wives) never really do cut the apron strings do they?
There are a couple of sign-off issues. Nothing that will jeopardise the deal. The lira speculation is a red herring - the money was in escrow before the currency tanked and Turkish millionaires wealth isn't stored in lira anyway. They could probably have made an announcement pending a couple of details before now - but it's as much to do with optics and stage management - given Acun's profile and the maximisation of publicity. What needs to have happened has happened - it's tinkering and I dotting but there's no question it isn't proceeding.
Look I haven't read this thread as it's too long but after reading the first post and the last one am I right in thinking it's about this.... please log in to view this image
I only recently discovered 'Manchego', love the stuff and was a bit surprised it was Spanish. Try it melted on toast with Garlic, gorgeous. Nothing beats a quality Wensleydale though.
Today I shall be making a broccoli and stilton soup as a starter option for Christmas dinner. True story.
I’ve got involved in the preparation this morning too. Sorting bottles to decant sloe gin & sloe vodka into. Started by drinking what was left of an older bottle of sloe gin…just to help you know
I shall also be decanting plum liqueur and blueberry liqueur. And indeed any other liqueurs I made last year which I've forgotten about.
