Lucky for Spurs not to take advantage of any of their many chances. We should never have let Spurs equalize though... Needed more discipline.
nah. Klopp didn’t make the mistake that led to their equaliser or make Robbo make a silly tackle - not did he allow Kane to stay on the pitch after a shocking tackle.
Have to take that. Should have lost by 3 first half. Red card a joke of sir Harry told me to. Watch back 5mins to our goal and you see the ref being brow beaten by kane and jisface change. We were run out after 70mins to a side who had time off for a nice rest.
Tbh ought we played really well today. Defensively were bit meh. Midfield didn’t get much control. But going forward looked like we would score at every chance. Shame ref ruined it with 3 shocking decisions but so be it. Decent result v 12 men
It is how we play and we created the chances to win. I actually think the Firmino sub was the issue as the Spurs LB was on a yellow so putting Salah central didnt make sense. We just needed more energy in midfield and in fractured games like this, Ox plays better
Kane should have seen red... different game. Jota should have got a penalty... potentially a different game. Robbo was rash. Argument either way imo but in light of Kane's, not a red... different game.
I think I would have preferred ox just for the gooner link But a draw in those circumstances not a disaster
Still don’t understand what Alisson was doing for the goal. Son almost left it and he tried blocking it/clearing with his knee and thigh. Could have just stood there and picked it up. 2 dropped points but given the circumstances. Playing a side that have had 2 weeks rest at a busy part of the season, having a red card decision not given, a penalty not given and then a red card given against you. Can’t say we could have done much more.
Awful. Cards thrown about like confetti but misses a clear penalty and completely inconsistent with the Kane and Robertson fouls. VAR is just a sick joke.
Also if anyone wants to have a laugh, ray houghton on bbc reaction to the Son goal was ‘what a finish’ and ‘son was brave’ the open goal tap in from 10 yards out that he ran away from the tackle and just hm got lucky alisson ****ed it up
We gave the ball away for large periods of the game, and the senior players too at that. Milner, Matip, Trent and Keita - could move the ball five yards accurately. yes, we were patched up and playing against a bent ref, but that hides our total ineptness at times. And was Morton supposed to be DM? Why? Does Milner think he's still a box-to-box midfielder or something?
