This really boils my piss. I hate this new thing they have of just repeating the latest soundbite mantra no matter what the question is. Whether it is 'Brexit means Brexit', 'Get Brexit done' or 'Getting the job done' they despise accountability and just feed us this ****. There is no substance to anything they say.

I ****ing hated Thatcher with a passion but by god if she had been asked a question she didn't like she would square up to the interviewer and argue her case. I disagreed with almost everything she said and stood for but you knew exactly what she did stand for. She believed in the changes she wated to see happen, as unpalatable as they were to me. This lot are so spineless they couldn't stick their heads above the parapet even if they wanted to!

Was listening to a prog on the radio the other day with Jon Snow, who is retiring from Channel 4 news after 30 odd years.

He was saying that back in the day you could just stop an MP on the street and ask them outright what was going on, and generally they would answer you, and if they didn't, it made good TV as they walked off.

He was also saying that now days, it's so much harder to get to Politicians as they surround themselves with people who try to prevent them being in an 'awkward' position, ie it's all stage managed as far as possible and the 'party line' is repeated endlessly. Hence all the soundbites.

It also really ****s me off when politicians are asked a question and respond with 'What I can tell you is......'

Just answer the ****in question.

And sadly, certainly among the big two parties, they are all as bad as each other on that score

I took from that broken the golden rule question line as "youve been told not to ask that now stfu because what the British people want to hear is that we move on and get brexit done"

Cant be just me

Before that part, Boris was being asked difficult questions about his honesty and integrity. He didn't like it and blamed the media for not talking about what he wanted to talk about, which was boosters.

Then when the journo asked him if he was still fit to lead his party, that's when he flipped.

We are all a masive part of this problem too though. We live in a society where people aren't allowed to make mistakes. As soon as any of them tries to do the right thing and tackle what they have been asked we slaughter them if it isn't a polished answer and hammer them if they make mistakes trying to answer honestly on the spot.

I'm not sure when we all got so hardline and unforgiving, but I suspect it was around the time brb became a supermod.

It looks that way, but I'm a half glass full type of person.

Nobody and I mean nobody in UK Politics in my lifetime has been as bad a Boris. He's literally a UK version of Trump.

I don't think people should confuse just how **** he is and tar everybody with that brush.

I don't think Boris is anywhere close to being as dangerous as Trump ... but they do share a level of incompetence...

I've adopted the approach with politicians and journalists now, that if you don't want to talk rationally to me as a voter, then don't bother talking to me at all. That's why I don't give a shhite when Boris creates so much chaos.

Of course I know he's a liar but no one else, and I mean no one, would have got Brexit done. It shouldn't have had to be like that. I never ever thought this country would vote leave for starters, I honestly thought I was on my own with this one.

So the day the votes were counted, I was like wtf just happened.

For me it wasn't about individual countries in Europe, it was purely about one place, Brussels! The fact that I also strongly don't believe in a Federal State, nowt more, nowt less.

I spent my whole life, not having a say, they had over 50 years of my life to adapt, they didn't, they continued on the same advancing road towards Federalism, so when Cameron gave us that day, I was going to take my chances.

I had no problem with the Common Market and that's what it should have stayed as, but there was no adapting the model now, it was too far down the road.

Anyway, renewed my passport recently, so I need to go and put my Boris fanboy poster up, thanks Boris, you lying deceitful fooker. <laugh>

Is it time for him to go now, probably.

Don't believe everything other people tell you mate, get differing views, even if they are ones the majority may not like. As soon has I posted, the first snide appeared. Most have been fooked off to GC now, so we are left with an echo chamber, but I'm still here to put things right ocassionally.

Anyway not going to waste my day on here, speak laters.

He doesn’t represent the same unhinged international danger that Trump did, nor would he encourage anarchists to storm parliament.

But yeah on an incompetence level they are similar, one dimensional sound bite leaders, who preside over a disfunctional govt and try to waffle their way out of one calamity to the next
