Well deserved honour for Marina who has worked wonders in transfer market, getting crazy fees for LUiz, Oscar, Haza, etc... And keeps us competitive with City, United, etc on a smaller budget https://www.express.co.uk/sport/foo...ovskaia-transfer-genius-prestigious-award-SNT
Can't disagree more. I think she is pretty underwhelming in many aspects of the job and ok in others.
She has been impressive in bringing in the players we were after, less so selling players we don't need, with many loaned, not sold. Right now she needs to show how good she is at keeping our top want- aways. Our days of spend spend spend should be behind us, with a more prudent selection process to "top up" where necessary on players to take us another rung up the ladder.
The sales have been good but the signings have been bad. Kepa £71m on a 7 year deal. Lukaku £97m. Morata £71m. It's quite clear she is good at some elements at her job but doesn't have an apt understanding of the football side of it.
Does she decide which footballers the coach wants or just do the financing? Pulisic was her idea, I think, to sell Chelsea to US fans, but was it her idea to sign Kepa?
