Who's the best crosser of the ball in our squad?

  1. In my opinion, it is without a doubt Ryan Taylor. His dead ball deliveries and crosses are far superior to anyone elses in the squad IMO.

Should he be considered for a RM game at any time if we hit an injury crisis?

Cabaye is definitely overall the best passer and creative player we have, and has the greatest vision, but crossing, I'd say Raylor, and Ryan Taylor's FK's and corners are much better.

    Do you agree or disagree?

    Raylor, easily.

Cabaye comes close but it's not often he crosses the ball.

  4. Agreed it's a bit unfair criticizing Cabaye because he doesn't cross it often, but i have to say I've been impressed with Tiote's crossing recently. Two assists and he's putting in quite a decent amount of quality balls into the box.

His shooting is also a lot more accurate.

This, also I've noticed Best and Tiote are both two very decent crossers of the ball. But in general and for consistency I'll say Raylor. Also I think Raylor started originally as a RM/RW as a youngster and used to play there for Wigan and also LM I think when Valencia played RM for them. Excellent versatile player.. imagine if Raylor had amazing dribbling ability or lighting pace.. he'll probably be our RM right now. <ok>

Oh yeah.. special mention to our forgotten man Danny Guthrie.. very good crosser, just don't play him out wide.. <whistle>

It'd be a major change of tactic throwing Raylor at right mid though, a return to the Barton-esque slow winger which we've moved on from. Injury crisis maybe, but I like him getting the pull backs and crossing from quite deep Enrique style. I still wouldn't argue against him dropping out if we get a new fullback in January though, him and Simpson both making way. He's useful, but with my newly overinflated expectations we could do do with someone slightly more solid to release Jonas.

Yep, Guthrie once delivered a cross for Carroll which beggared belief how much curve he got on it.

Simpson's better than people give him credit for as well, not one of our best though.

**** I forgot about Marveaux. Need to see him more regularly but the cross for Lover against Forest was pin-point as well.

Defo, I'd say (if Simmo stays at FB with Santon) that he'd be a great player on the bench, to cover FB and Wings.

He probs won't get a game there unless Ober, and two of Jonas, HBA and Marv gets injured. Rather him than Gosling or Guthrie.

Raylor really is the perfect ''versatile'' squad player. He's like a richer mans' Perch to say the least. He can play as a full-back(RB/LB) and on both wings(played LM with Wigan) and CM too(Did very well there against Chelsea away last season). If he could play as a striker and a keeper'.. then we'll surely have the best ''versatile'' player ever. A true jack of all trades. <ok>

Will be quite useful if we get into Europe.
