What does anyone expect when we dont play our best players in the correct positions? Diao being in the squad is highly embarrassing, let alone being the 1st sub! To be fair though, getting points against the top 5/6 clubs wont make our season, but dropping points to the likes of Swansea, Norwich etc will! We are one of the lowest scorers int he league with 7 goals, and considering the quality of our defence we have shipped 11 goals, 10 of which have been away! Its not about the result per say, but how you win and lose and the mindset you approach the game!

Sgt WHAT did you expect for Christ's sake? The ONLY complaint I have about today's game is this... WHY does Diao come on before Palacios??? Say he isn't fit fair enough but IF he isn't FIT WHY was he on the bench today Tony? Smither's well said Van Persie was sheer class I watched the game online.. and Sgt.. We were NOT that bad. I was asking the Fulham fans about D Murphy and got shot down too And Sgt, F F Sake we played OK against what still is a very good Arsenal team today.. Even Wenger gave us praise for our goal from the free kick.

True, but my old man still says Waddo is a better manager than Pulis. That's just his opinion though. Even if Palacios isn't fully fit, I do believe he is a better option than a fully fit Diao. Diao was very good the other night, but admittedly against extremely poor opposition. He isn't good enough for the Premier League.
Like I said, we should be getting results against the teams from 7th/8th down, but the logic of selection, positions, who's fit and who's not etc is the foundation that lets us down when we need to perform the most. I have said before, that I dont car much for Europa or the carling cup, who cares that we are top of our group with goals to spare, when we are "AGAIN" the lowest scorers in the prem! You cant win games or get points in this league if you cant create chances and score goals - that has always been our problem and will always be our problem under the Welsh Wizard! However, the biggest concern (and anyone who disagrees needs to go and take up knitting) is our defence! We have always been applauded for our solid back line, but TP is taking it apart piece by piece and ruining the stablity that our success has been built on, rather than concentrating on the areas of concern - like form the centre circle forward! The Huth issue and lack of full backs speaks volumes for the uncertainty in our management! Bring on the next league game, with the correct players in the correct positions with a postive result!
