Seeing that Man u have had 6 shipped past them today by city it reminded me of when we put 6 past them with Egil Ostenstad getting a hatrick....whatever happened to him where is he now?
Director of Football for Viking, the club where he started and ended his playing career. Wikipedia is a wonderful thing.
I'm annoyed about Utds capitulation! We were the only club to put 6 past them in the EPL, a record we now have to share. Annoyed.
Did you see that Solkskaar (spp) is linked with Pompey job..not related to thread apart from he and Egil are both players with funny names.
There was an article in "When Sautrday comes" a couple of months ago that mentioned that Marian Pahars manager at Skonto FC in Latvia in it's discussion of the impoverised state of football in this country. Wondered if anyone else here read this magazine? I've been subscribing for a couplen of months now. I' ve bought in a few times in the past but picked up a copy in Eurostar back in the summer on my way to holiday and had forgotten what an excellent read this is. A recent article discussed the old Dell site with a Saints fan discussing with nostalgia the days when we still played in this part of the city. I subscribe to quite a few magazines but WSC is the one which I tend to read from cover to cover without putting down. There are always intriguing articles to read about little know clubs and the fact that all the columns seem to be written by fans always makes this far more rewarding than something like "Four Four two." (although I have enjoyed this in the past too.)
Not according to the history books, that jumped up little git, Andy Gray took the 3rd goal off him and put it as a Neville OG. But to any sane person (which means Saints fans and decent football fans with half a brain) then clearly Egil did get a hat-trick that day.
United got slaughtered by Newcastle just before our 6.3 match, so perhaps they have another bad match coming.
