[/QUOTE] Yeah, then did a stint in hair on Broadway before becoming Belushi's understudy on the Blues Brothers tour. Theres some interesting stories about Belushi and Meat Loaf in his autobiography. Then did some vocals for Ted Nugent. Some of his later material has had a Nashville vibe.
Clash, Ian Dury and the Blockheads, Dr Feelgood, all contenders but surprising winner is Devo. Wasn't even a fan when I went to see them, but blown away by how good they were. Also loudest band I've ever seen.
Saw them in Scarborough just as they were first breaking, during height of 2 tone revival. 79/80 I think. A small upstairs venue on Huntriss Row (just along from where McD's is now). Crazy. Jam, Brid Spa around 80 too. Steve Harley (brilliant live).
went to see foo fighters at west hams ground. they were quite nice. the dickies at hull college were all right but my faves were ethel the frog (live outdoor somewhere in hull and phoenix club) the mgbs were good at lincoln castle and did they morph into cheds booze band? saw loads at welly including the akrylyk vyktymz who werent very good but the z men were probably the greatest band in the world. two members are now dead.
