Thing is last night it was obvious at which point Hayden’s head touched the players back following the replay As has already been pointed out he looks before going down and the other guy who was clutching his head I still haven’t seen where his head got touched. One of them did lie motionless like de gea did the other week It’s cheating plain and simple - and our guys do it too The only way it can be removed is if the entirety of FIFA make the stand And they won’t So I believe we are stuck with it the fopping and rolling on a football pitch at the highest level is crazy happy for the three points I don’t think it really altered the game Newcastle got a break but never really closed up till we stopped playing so either way I think we would have gone on to win last night Howe is just deflecting imho
Anyone else notice Newcastle taking as long as possible at each goal kick. From the beginning of the game (villa last week started this after ten mins and took the absolute piss with it) Teams are coming to Anfield and being allowed to waste around 5/10mins per game using this tactic. Klopp should make light of it on camera
Kind of reminds me of a Gerrard goal from a similar angle with similar power. TAA had lots of space, a clean sight of goal plenty of time, and when he rifled it like that there was nothing anyone could do to stop him.
I agree with everything you've said here except for the bit about our players feigning head injury. I've seen dives and leg and ankle holds but can't recall a single time when one of ours has faked a head injury. I would like to add that until the refs come out and explain their decisions we'll never know their reasoning or whether or not they have a conversation via their microphone with the VAR official to check these head clashes etc. Officially it isn't covered in what VAR is there for but I bet refs do it all the time. I know I would with an incident like last night.
What a hit, and just when we needed it too, when we won the title a 1 goal lead for us never had me worried, this year im nervous when we dont have a 2 goal cushion. Is that just me?
Christ what happened to the guy on the right? Feel like play def should have been stopped for a head injury there
Mane has done it though the may have been slight contact with head it clearly wasn't anywhere enough to warrant his going down holding his head .
I was thinking Mane had but couldn’t remember who But Tbf we don’t do it a lot but it’s still cheating even if only once I would guess Klopp goes bat **** crazy afterwards lol
I did note on one occasion their keeper waited till I thi k mane went in for him to pick up and the two pundits had a full blown conversation and he still had not kicked it. At least 6 sentences so 40- 50 seconds.
Its a trend ive started to notice, home and away. teams are taking every opportunity to soak up valuable seconds which then turn into valuable minutes. A little gamesmanship is expected, even welcomed in football to a certain extent, we all love a bit of ****housery no matter who we support. But this kind of thing for me is anti football, its not the same as taking the ball into the corner flag and standing on it in the dying minutes of a game, this time wasting everything from the 1st whistle is just snidey football imo I don't care how **** you are and how much you expect to get smahsed by, come to play, come to park de bus, thats fine, but dont make the game dull by slowing it down and trying to kill the flow and entertainment from the 1st whistle. Refs should clamp down on it, i dunno how but theres gonna be ways to stop that, time limits on kicks and throws or something?
I can't say I've seen him do it but I haven't watched every game of the last two seasons. The thing that annoys me with Mané is the way he plays through very strong challenges and stays on his feet but goes down for easy ones. Some times I'm shouting stay down and you'll get something for this only for him to bounce up and brush it off. I've lost count of the amount of times both he and Salah are literally wrestled to the ground and no foul given. Southampton last season was literally assault on both of them. Mané gets very little from referees, it must be very frustrating for him especially when you consider the serial offenders flopping every game and getting every one.
I'd say being lenient on the underdog is a very British thing and you see it all the time. But then there's utd and the amount of favourable decisions they get......
I assume you were hoping for people to think you were the one on the left with ther oversized appendage... #epicfail
