It's changed so you don't have to isolate now if you're double jabbed and have been in contact with someone who's tested positive, but you've always needed to isolate while waiting for a PCR test result and still do.
because his wife tested postive and obviously been in close contact. its a problem if it doesnt pick up results and companies basing their entry on it , all year ive been on sites with hundreds of people only allowed on if you do a LFT, but if its not picking people up, whats the point? my wife was in close contact with somebody earlier in the year so went straight for PCR, and was positive , just out of curiousity she took a LFT 2 days in a row after, both negative. if she had relied on LFT she would have gone to work those 2 days and spread it around. they maybe better than nothing, but only just
Your experiences show that the system works well. The PCR shows that your wife was positive for the covid virus. The LFT shows she wasn’t infectious. She may have had Covid in the past and it produced a positive result. Doctor Tom’s advise is: Stay well away from me!
We're not going to get to go to the Sheff Utd game are we? It was really shaping up to be a mad day/night that as well.
If that's confirmed cases (and not all positive tests are capable of determining which variant of the virus it is), then that is a doubling of the figures reported yesterday - extrapolate that out to all tests and that would mean roughly a third of the 93k cases reported today would be Omicron variant. And that would be a conservative estimate.
Errrrm this is awkward ….told you http://news.sky.com/story/covid-19-...down-over-omicron-threat-reports-say-12498746COVID-19: Officials drawing up plans for two-week post-Christmas lockdown over Omicron threat, reports say
Hospital admissions in Cheshire East are low & falling meaning the vaccine is working, according to the Leader of Cheshire East Council. I can understand them having a plan. If they’d had one at the beginning we wouldn’t be in the **** place we are now but the public gets what the public wants & this is what the public wanted
The problem with a two week lockdown is it will achieve precisely nothing. In that time, the infection curve won't change to any discernible amount, meaning you can't unlock when "planned". You are going to need a couple of months to see any major drop in cases, and all you have done is delayed them, not prevented them. In that time the government has run up a massive debt and reduced incoming taxes to pay for it. Loads of businesses close resulting in higher unemployment etc. Kids schooling gets even further behind. You unlock, breathe a "masked" sigh of relief just in time for the next variant. The media goes crazy, cases are rising, panic, panic, we need a lockdown..., rinse and repeat. Tough it out. Get vaccinated or get ill, gets you some immunity. You know it makes sense.
Okay, who knew? Taking sick leave Employees can take time off work if they’re ill. They need to give their employer proof if they’re ill for more than 28 days. https://www.gov.uk/taking-sick-leave
If they started their sick leave before 10 December 2021, they must give proof if they’ve been ill for more than 7 days. Changed to Employees can take time off work if they’re ill. They need to give their employer proof if they’re ill for more than 28 days. Probably no-one can get to see a doctor Bit of a bugger if you went off on the 9th
