So they're only interested in investigating the one black guy who was there

    Nobody is surprised...

On the subject of a lack of surprises, turns out that last Christmas is the tip of the iceberg...

Ruben Gallego is a Congressman for Arizona, a Democrat and a former marine.
This is his response to Aleksey Zhuravlyov advocating for his abduction and imprisonment.
Zhuravlyov is the leader and only MP-equivalent for Rodina, the ultra-nationalist Russian BNP.
They're massive Putin fans. It's like Farage threatening a foreign politician. Not good.

Gove was chairing yesterday's COBRA meeting, since De Pfeffel was busy saying "vaccines, vaccines, vaccines" in response to PMQs battering him with questions about the various parties which happened but we're supposed to not talk about

I thought the lunatics had taken over the asylum with Boris.
    That would defy any analogy.
That’s when the over used phrase “Oh My God” really has some meaning.

It's like kicking out The Joker and replacing him with The Penguin.

The backstory sounds pretty similar, too...

Roman Sionis was born to wealthy and utterly self-absorbed parents, who cared more about their social status in Gotham City than their own son. Moments after Roman's birth, the doctor carelessly dropped him on his head, and his parents covered up the entire incident so that their high society friends would not find out. Years later, he was attacked by a rabid raccoon at the Sionis family country estate, and his parents forbade him to mention the incident to anyone. Despite their dislike for fellow socialites Thomas and Martha Wayne, Roman's parents continued to associate with them to maintain their social standing, and forced Roman to befriend their son, Bruce. His parents' hypocrisy had a deep impact on Roman, and he grew to resent them and the "masks" that they wore in public.

Think of the worst qualities, the worst characteristics, the worst stereotypes aligned with being a politician and I can't think of an individual who displays all of them more than her.

Fake, mendacious, self-serving, wretched, corrupt to the core, lacking in any humanity or empathy for others, nasty, shallow, bitch of a whore. I wouldn't cross the road to piss on her if she was on fire <ok>

This was a party political broadcast on behalf of the Conservative Party.

But to end on a positive note (even if Labour managed to salvage a Tory win from the jaws of defeat to the LibDems in N Shropshire)

The only people who don't see those characteristics in her are the ones who have those characteristics themselves.

It's so easy to identify ****s like her...because those ****s like her <ok>

Tories get a good kicking in N. Shropshire! 34% Swing to LibDems! <laugh><laugh><cheers>
Great result (despite Labours blind refusal to step aside).
But a sobering thought is that after 11 years of Tory misrule, corruption on an epic scale, the tragic failure of Brexit, the efforts to break the NHS and general stripping of basic democratic Rights, 12k of the electorate still voted for the Tories - and only 46% could be arsed to vote! <doh>

46% turnout is typical of the democracy we take for granted (and tbf the disillusionment with the state of politics in this country).

But just to add some context, that constituency has been Tory for 200+ years iirc so it's unlikely many blue voters could bring themselves to vote Tory or for anyone else.

One thing I'd say is let's hope the LibDems don't fck this up and they keep hold of it at the next GE.
