  1. Firstly, this guy is going to be a ****ing nightmare for our fullbacks, he's probably the strongest player in the PL and has fantastic pace. I don't know how we are going to deal with him.

Secondly, if Man City come in for Tiote, why don't we ask for a switch, Richards for Tiote?

We need to replace quality players with quality players, so instead of the cash, lets get the player for the position we need.

    Imagine this back line?

    Richards----Taylor---Colo-----Santon

    Jizz!!

    Swap a DM for RB??

  4. Then we'll say no to letting him go at all!

We can't just ask for the cash, because there's no guarantee we'll get a good player in in time, and January is starting to get into the critical stages of the season.

Firstly, City have all the money they could ask for, they'd never agree to a player swap. I think they'd rather bid 40m than swap for Richards.

Secondly, they can **** off. I'd rather keep Tiote!

Tiote Richards switch, that is never ever going to happen. Don't think City will come in for Tiote anyway. They'd never give Richards away and he wouldn't come to us.

Agree tho that if we ever do sell key players, we do p/ex and get cash + a decent player in return.

    But Tiote stays!

  7. We lack a quality fullback to compliment our CB's.

We'll be losing a quality CM, but gaining a player that could fix the weak spot in our defense.

I'd be happy for Raylor to play CM. He's creative enough.

  8. I HOPE TIOTE STAYS!!

But we need to be realistic, if Man City offer him 90k a week to play in the best team in the league, he's gone. Simple as.

I'd much rather keep Tiote and play Raylor RB/LB. We'd need a DM, Raylor's not a DM. I'd definitely not be happy to see that.

Why do that when we're going to win the league?

With Toure, Milner, de Jong, Barry and numerous other central midfielders I don't think we need to worry about them coming in for Tiote.

Tiote being away at the ACoN may well play to our advantage in the January window. Only a stupid bid of £25m and upwards would be accepted and I can't see anyone doing that.

  13. Agreed. Sorry, it was a silly suggestion, but i can't help but get a slight boner at seeing that back line haha.

Swap a DM for a RB, play our LB out of position in CM, what would be the point? Why not just buy a LB and shift Santon to RB?

    Never become a manager, Tash.

Ricahrds must be in with a shout of most improved player in the league. I remember only a year or two ago he wasn't in the team much and linked with moves away. A certainty for the England squad next summer (not even Capello is that stupid not to take him surely?).

Fair enough. Weird suggestion to make like.

    Santon Taylor Colo Cissokho

I like that more, and we can keep Tiote!

Well this was a waste of time.

Hey guys, if Man Utd hypothetically tried to sign James Perch should we ask for Rooney in exchange instead?
