I preferred Ligue 1's first album.

His record in big games isn’t great, but it’s hardly non-existent. Besides, who was the last good reliable attacker we had in big games? Probably Alexis Sanchez? And how long ago was that? This isn’t a situation unique to Aubameyang.

I feel like you’re doing some revisionism here, DL. Aubameyang’s first 3 years at Arsenal were very good, he had an exceptionally high conversion rate and scored some important goals for us. That isn’t even debatable. He is a reliable goal scorer at the top level. That isn’t debatable. Does he have limitations? Yes, but that doesn’t mean he’s average like you’re saying he is.

Covid-impacted or not, he played a huge role in us winning the FA Cup and was on course to be the quickest player to reach 100 goals in the club’s history. He’s also scored several goals against every top six/seven club apart from Liverpool (only scored 1 in the CS) and Man City in the league (though he has in FA Cup).

He’s far from perfect but certainly not mediocre.

Heard Potter on the radio earlier (before their Saturday match was postponed) saying that Brighton had asked the PL to postpone the match. The PL said no. And then later it gets postponed. Could it be that Man U asked? Can't help thinking that even in these difficult times, there is a 'certain team' bias that is still going on. We seem to know less about the Covid situation at Man U than almost any other club. I'm also thinking that we'll have to play our match on Sunday, even if we have several players out. And the FA are still saying (as recently as the news a few minutes ago) that postponement decisions will be made on a 'case by case basis'. Surely a recipe unfairness/bias? As with most other things, more transparency from the FA/PL would be welcome.

Watching Rodgers` interview and it was clear his main concern was picking up more injuries, so I would not be surprised if some clubs will play the Covid card. Thomas Frank in an interview with Sky earlier, insinuated basically this, that managers will do whatever it takes to win, and that includes playing the Covid card when they have a squad decimated by injuries. I won`t be surprised if Varpool have their Covid outbreak booked in for January, when they lose some key players to the African cup of nations.

Assuming it goes ahead. That's very much in question right now.

Not immediately stopping play for a head injury should result in a 3 match suspension as a minimum for a referee, the assistants and the 4th official.
The risk of ignoring a possible concussion (or worse) is far too serious.

If a player is found to have faked being hit on the head (like the Brazilian geezer at the world cup a few year back) they should get a 5 game ban.

Big if.......but if you won your three games in hand, you’d be just three points behind Chelsea before the season gets written off by COVID.

Chelsea haven't been playing well for a while now but you'll rarely hear it spoken about because they are part of the holy trinity at the top of the league who are far too good for us peasants.

Unconvincing against Burnley, United and Watford, awful against West Ham, lucky against Leeds and unconvincing tonight against Everton.

Needed penalties in both rounds of the Carabao while missing out on top CL group spot after drawing to a Zenit side who had nothing to play for.

But you won't hear it spoken about.

Chelsea are playing very well but have no finisher, one of the best two teams in the league by far.

I know, must be a terrible feeling knowing you've spent £220m on Lukaku, Pulisic and Werner but still can't put the ball in the net.

I'm not sure about them defensively either. When Kante doesn't play they are half the team they are with him.

I'd like to take some credit as a few weeks back I was talking about how such a well drilled side they are and are complete in all areas, being the most well rounded team in the league.

Since then they've dropped a good few amount of points.

Been around RCL for so long it's only right I know a little RCLing myself.
