Looks like about a dozen games will be cancelled in the English leagues this weekend, players should start getting fines for causing games to be postponed...
I'm hopeful that this will be confirmed as the case before the next review, so no more action is required and confidence returns a bit. The last two weeks has completely shafted hospitality and retail.
Very close friends in the beauty industry, what looked like a bumper Christmas has been knee capped since the announcements...
How many additional of the Omicrom variant and the new Omicrom total? Oddly enough SKY are not showing that on screen or telling in their covid news. Will go have a look.
Already some scientist in the UK confirming what all of the South African Doctors have being saying about Omicron but this will no doubt be drowned out by all the Media scaremongering. https://news.sky.com/story/covid-19...duce-fairly-mild-illness-expert-says-12497094
Maybe just maybe they can’t have the jab? how are that bed full of fit healthy 25 year olds at deaths door with covid doing in hri?? Over to you Angus
Wishful thinking or based on what you've been reading? I'm now starting to wonder how the hell all this is ever going to come to an end .... although I caught the back end of something Witty had said about how in a couple of years (!!) time, it should be controllable by medications (don't know if that meant better vaccines or treatments).
10,017 total cases yesterday, looks like the rate of increase in the new variant is much less then projected (so far)
.... meant to add ..... I don't understand how Witty can say that, as he doesn't have a clue about what further mutations / variants there are going to be?
Presumably he means the new pill, which is so far showing a 90% reduction in hospitalisations and deaths and is due out next year.
It's been a couple of years already! Something I find hard to believe. If what Witty is saying is right I'd take that now if it meant that the next 2 years would see a sustainable reduction in cases and a controlled plan back to some sort of acceptable normality. Rather that than have years of out of then back in the ****.
Fully expecting an announcement from the PL and EFL tomorrow that they're suspended for two or three weeks.
