I know the 200,000 figure is the wrong starting point, but that was the number put out by Dominic Raab yesterday. First saying that was the daily number and later correcting that to mean the total number. Didn't matter that he was wrong in both cases. please log in to view this image
With exponential bacterial growth you reach a plateau or "stationary phase" when you run out of something required for growth, with Covid infection in humans, the equivalent would be the virus running out of people. When everybody is infected, growth ceases.
British tourists are to be banned from France amid concern over the rise in Omicron cases in the UK. From Saturday morning, France is banning travel to and from the UK without "compelling reasons". Paris says the "compelling reasons" do not include travel for tourism and business . French nationals and their spouses are exempt from the new rules.
I get why a lot of people will ignore any mixing advice this year, thinking they all had parties last year at Downing Street but to me it isnt about what Downing Street do , hopefully karma will get them , its about listening to the medical people and making your own decisions. im supposed to be having all my family around between xmas and new year for a buffet! about 20 of us , in a new house and was really looking forward to having everybody round as never lived in a house big enough before. but after listening to Chris Witty im not sure im going too , its not about me living in fear or anything, just thinking is it worth putting my mum and dad at risk for a chicken drumstick when im already seeing them xmas day!...and im not sure it is . Plus theyll probably get in the way of the darts anyway.

tough one, my dad in his seventies and my mum recovering from treatment. just feels like March 2020 again at moment with everything thats happening in the football - feels like only matter of time before behind closed doors, lockdown, etc etc..depressing stuff
It is a tough one. I'm triple-jabbed, wear a mask, etc and I'm not particularly afraid of catching it. However I'm hopefully off to Cyprus next Tuesday and I don't want risk catching it before I go so I'm keeping my head down between now and then.

Any statement ending with ...simples should lead to cruel and inhuman punishment, As I said, try reading what the professionals say about it. Medical professionals that is.
