as a percentage you mean? I don’t think that’s ever been released. It would massively help with the context
I'm not sure how it would help. Most people getting a test are poorly, so a high percentage will test positive because its a self-selecting sample.
Have they given a split on which were Omicron and which are Delta cases, or are the test kits not showing that...?
The daily number of cases is 78,610. Included in that number are 4,671 addition cases of the Omicrom variant bringing the TOTAL number of Omicrom found in the past couple of weeks or more to 10,017. Somehow the new Omicron variant is accountable for 60% of all cases in London.
They have no idea how many are being tested, as in the main, people are only reporting when they test positive (unless you mean PCR tests only). The majority of those testing are necessarily ill either, anyone who's been in contact with someone who's tested positive is now supposed to test daily for seven days and again won't report unless they also test positive.
