I'm not entirely sure. Certainly would help but a farmer on Farming Today this morning said they had tried desperately to recruit pickers but without success. The problem is the short term nature of the work. The Eastern Europeans are apparently organised into peripatetic gangs that move around throughout the year and do all sorts of picking. Now they are barred out there us nowhere to go on this. Expect large veggie imports.
