Is this not where the big plan cones in to use. Training the u23s so they slot straight in to the first team. So greenwood at centre back and gelherdt left back. James to defensive mid and cresswell to striker. There hows that for square pegs bielsa style.
I hear a lot of stuff regarding bringing in new players in Jan, but even if we do get the right sort, it'll take them a while to get up to speed with Bielsa's tactics and fitness.
I could be wrong, but as he is a man of principle and I think there is a bond with the club, I would be surprised if he resigned. I mean he could have left after the playoff defeat V Derby.
Plus any new players with the ability to pass to a teammate would need that knocking out of them for a start. Mind you it only took Firpo and Dan James a couple of games to lose any talent they had, so you never know.
The big plan hasnt worked this season due to injuries in the small first team squad. At the start of the season the U23s were challenging for the title again, but injuries to first team has blown apart hopes of back to back league titles. The U23s are now fighting relegation because the best players are missing and gone to sit on the first team bench. So that one decision of Bielsa’s has impacted everything in the club. His only real fault for me is size of squad
I also feel that there are at least three teams who are worse than us, so even with our injury list I still think we will survive. The 7 nil was a freak result, but these results happen.
Here’s what I think Yes we have a problem Our players are not as bad as last nights result indicate Under Bielsa we have played some glorious football Yes injuries have hit us very hard Suspensions are going to put us in an even worse state if we are not very careful I don’t see Bielsa resigning nor should he The problem is in the hands of management to sort out but I don’t see any overnight fix We knew December was going to be a very tough month and unfortunately we have been proved correct I don’t know the short term answer But Bielsa going is not it I/we do not know what goes on behind the scenes at elland road The only question I would ask of Bielsa Is knowing what he knows now would he elect to have a bigger first team squad and if so would Radz stump up the cash

Who was it that said we are missing Aylings runs down the right? Ayling is back yet he is asked to play CB whilst Cresswell sits on the bench before he was injured again Rodrigo was nothing but a bench warmer.
Just reading about Firpo’s involvement yesterday, he completed one dribble, he won zero headers, he didn’t make a single tackle
