Perhaps evidence that all fans forums are like it but there are more than a few people on the palace forums who seem terrified of Shane Long for some reason

That said the one where I saw this the most was in a thread with an attached poll that overwhelming had them thinking they would win

I am worried that we are not using the squad rotation as we should. It won't happen but would be happy to see Walcott and Long (with something to prove) as opposed to Adarma and Broja who have not trained. Also, having seen both Lewis and Willy play this season, I would go for Lewis until Fraser is fit.

    So how about

    Lewis
    KWP Lyanco Salisu Perraud
    Romeu JWP
    Tella Redders
    Long Walcott

Subs: Willy, Small, Stephens, Diallo, Smallbone, Ely, Valery, Watts, Djenepo

Yes Ralph said not available for next two games. Though there’s always the suspicion that games are being played by managers! I read somewhere else there was a possibility of being available for Brentford but not heard it from Ralph

If anyone with COVID goes for a jog near the training ground today they might be doing us a favour.

I’d put it in blue but hopefully the humor comes across and nobody takes offence. Low expectations for this game, more chance of scoring in our own net than theirs if we have to play long and Walcott.

I wonder what proof teams (OK, Man Utd) require, in order to cancel a match "Because players have Covid"? I'm not not doubting the seriousness of the situation, but if players can self-test, this might be an easier way of Saints getting out of of playing some fixtures, until everyone is available and fit. It wouldn't make much difference anyway.

    Please not Walcott ffs.

Redders can go up top with Shane if needed and plenty of options for the two behind, every single one of which is a better choice than Theo.

How about both in a 4-3-3 with Romeu, JWP and Diallo

Yep, if none of the three strikers are able to start tomorrow, it seems like the obvious way to go for me.

We didn’t bring in Willy only to put him on the bench.
There’s no reason to rotate for the hell of it, you play your best 11 for the opposition unless they’re injured or fatigued.

Adarma, Broja and Tino all are carrying injuries. Lewis is the better keeper IMO

Genuinely Lolled at the knackered bumper car image <laugh>

This won’t go the way Saturday did though - Palace won’t allow us to dominate the first few minutes the way Arsenal did, for a start. Which might be a good thing (for us I mean). A very winnable game which we’ll probably draw, but not as sickening as the drew against Brighton. We’ll then be all set up for another vital point at home to Brentford, but I won’t ****ing care because I hate football. And cricket. Roll on another **** week of sport.

Yeah last time I got in a bumper car (at some music festival), the bloody thing wouldn't move forward. Only backwards.

For tonight, we just need to something unpredictable. Start the game slowly and do the whole pressing thing second half maybe. Just for a change. Or pack the midfield and just play with one up front. We've done the hole gung-ho thing too much this season, and just as with Leeds this season, the press is proving counter-productive more often that not.

Personally would secretly love to see Shane back in the team. I just know he's got one more 'moment' in him before he leaves us.
