Speaking of Papa John, the one thing that really irritates me watching City's games on ifollow, is the continuing sight of Jimmy Bullard making a twat of himself in their advert they have on there.
Just the continuing sight of Bullard anywhere pisses me off. Especially when you go on Sky Sports site where he's dressed as a ref. He looks like an old woman.
I've never subscribed to this thinking. Will they be more advanced than us? Yes, obviously. Will they see us as some cattle class lifeform? I really don't think so. We've harnessed the power of the atom, we can leave our own planet, we have a vast array of cultures, philosphy etc. And what's more is we make a constant, thought out attempt to contact other life. We won't be on their level, but I definitely think we're worth saying hello to.
If we discovered microscopic life on Europa or Enceladus, it would spark wild celebrations in the scientific community. So a species that’s more advanced who discover a species that has limited space travel and the ability to communicate is almost certainly going to be of interest to them.
Take a look at your cat, snuggling down on it's blanket after you've fed it, and before you venture out on a dark winters morning, because an alarm clock told you to. You'll then be sat in a tin box, getting told what to do by paint on metal, spend your day doing as you're told, all to earn money to keep the cat fed and its house warm. If the aliens saw that, which would they decide was the master race and which the servant?
If the aliens landed in Hull on Derby Day and listened to Gollum they would decide there was not any intelligent life here and quickly depart.
According to Scientists there are 700,000,000,000,000,000,000. (700 Quintrillion) Planets out there, there has to be other life, but whether they are close enough to Earth and have travelled here I somehow doubt.

Even if 'they' have travelled here it could have been a billion years ago. Or maybe we're due a visit a billion years from now. Space is big but time is long. How often did she say she had a bad feeling and nothing happened?
