They probably felt they had a point to prove after we beat them last season too. They didn't like that. Sometimes you have to take one on the chin.
there’s much to agree with here, but it’s not about them Being in the mood. The opposition create the mood. We said there’s the ball have a head start so you can relax and play your football, see how many you want to score. It’s fckng embarrassing and it’s not good enough. as to defining the season? Depends how we respond
Yes, then see the character of your team, unfortunately, 7 of them are either injured or suspended for Saturday
Leeds' worst start to a season since 1930 Man City 7-0 Leeds Leeds have picked up 16 points in their 17 Premier League games this season. Adjusting to three points for a win, only in 1930-31 have they had fewer at this stage of any league campaign (14).
I wasn't expecting to get anything out of this game but 7 bloody 0!!!!!!!! Trying not to get too down about it but hate having to rely on other teams to lose to save our own bacon. Injuries are certainly contributing to our downfall but it is going to be a tough run to the end of the season.
hey it’s Christmas… a little present from marcelo to pep as a thank you for all the nice things he’s says about him. Pep ‘bielsa is the best coach in the world’ Man City 7-0 Leeds.
Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa to BT Sport: "There is nothing positive to take away from our performance. "I can't find anything that can be valued. When there's nothing that's well done, it's not individualities that fail, but the conduction and organisation. There's no justification I can offer. The game was exactly how we thought it would be. We prepared ourselves to avoid everything that happened. We didn't manage to get anything. "It [their usual style] is what we tried the whole game. Surely if we'd done the opposite, we would be lamented for not attempting anything to take away possesion from the opponent. "What we attempted generated danger in our own goal. We didn't do anything well. That was evident in the scoreline. "I insist everything that happened was what we wanted to avoid. As there's nothing to take from it, it's inevitable I have to take responsibility for a defeat of this type. "We've never had a performance like the one today."
City can do that to anyone. Even Liverpool and Chelsea in recent years have taken 5-0 and 6-0 beatings at the Etihad.
Agreed, I was thinking letting that first goal in so early on killed us and I thought the same at the time. Sort of games you need to hold out in and then put pressure on and you’ll potential get something on the break. Gutting with the first as well because about 5 or 6 different players made error and could’ve stopped that first one.
Agree completely. Not acceptable from our players. Too many unforced errors and we didn't learn from our mistakes at all. We certainly made life comfortable for them. The players need to have a look at themselves. Not acceptable. We didn't even revert to a Burnley and kick em about a bit, you know, slow em down a bit. I will maintain my view that they were ****ing good tonight. The thing with City is that they are a bit like us but with world class players. They are entertaining to watch but can be very hit and miss regarding converting chances. They were very much in 'hit' zone tonight. Very very good. We were ****, one of the best teams in Europe were very much 'on it' and you get 7-0. It is what it is.
Yep, if you catch them on a good day they are pretty much unbeatable for anyone. Add in our depleted squad and on top of that **** individual performances and that's what you get. At least it wasn't 9!
