Sometimes I wonder if Bielsa is a bit naive. A vastly understrength team and he decides to go toe to toe with the league leaders. I suppose he knows no other way.
I mean, they are just quality from back to front. Far better than us man for man. The problem I have is they look stronger, fitter, faster and hungrier. Our lot are wandering around wondering why there are people wearing the same shirt as them on a field. They can't pass it 10 yards, can't hold it up, can't control it, can't stick with runners. I know it's hard against a team this good but ****ing hell lads at least try and match them.
Im not watching but put them two sides together on the field and apart from Rapha none of that team out there would get in Man City's 18 man squad. They also would have players out the 18 who would be permanent 1st teamers for us. Not making excuses but they are light years ahead of us on quality and they really should be putting a big number of goals past these 11 out there. which at this moment looks like it could happen. We are crippled with injuries and even our full strength team would struggle to keep it to under 3 goals no matter how well we played yes we done them last season but 9 times out of 10 we are always going to be on the receiving end I'm upset and im not even watching jest blow the full time whistle now pls.
I think it just shows how far we are behind the top teams in this division and how poorly we’ve spent our transfer budget. Bielsa has taken the players as far as they can go in their ability.
But Bielsa will never drop him so if he has to play get him on the left where he’s probably a slight improvement on Firpo
When you can spend 100mill on one player you're gonna be light years ahead. No excuse for our abysmal showing though
