You do know you getting vaccinated only protects yourself and nobody else....Even Whitty today said theres little benifit on transmission, this was brought up during the session in Parliament today re mandatory vaccinations for Nhs staff

Are these the same 94k that will likely have been working for the NHS during the peak of Covid mark 1...

People who are fully vaccinated against covid-19 are far less likely to infect others, despite the arrival of the delta variant, several studies show. The findings refute the idea, which has become common in some circles, that vaccines no longer do much to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

“They absolutely do reduce transmission,” says Christopher Byron Brooke at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. “Vaccinated people do transmit the virus in some cases, but the data are super crystal-clear that the risk of transmission for a vaccinated individual is much, much lower than for an unvaccinated individual.”

A recent study found that vaccinated people infected with the delta variant are 63 per cent less likely to infect people who are unvaccinated.

Any reason why NHS staff think leaving themselves open to infection in an environment where they may contract it is more likely than most and then have to be off work and forcing others into isolation leaving their employers (which in effect is us) short of staff when most needed is a good idea?

    Who knows... However

Professionally qualified clinical staff make up over half (52.6%) of the FTE HCHS workforce.

    * This group includes all HCHS doctors, qualified nurses and health visitors, midwives, qualified scientific, therapeutic and technical staff and qualified ambulance staff.

So maybe not clinical or front line staff and could get equivalent jobs in other industries, e.g IT, catering, clerical, estates etc...

Maybe a decent chunk of the unvaccinated nurses are looking for any excuse to leave a stressful job with dogshit pay. Working 12 hour shifts during a pandemic and the only thanks they get is a bunch of knobheads clapping them; the same knobheads who will now call them selfish and stupid if they don’t get vaxxed before April.

I'm double jabbed and have had the booster, but I'm totally against mandatory vaccinations. Thin end of the wedge for a power grabbing government. Also everyone has a right to NHS treatment whatever their vaccine status.

The average wage for a nurse is about 10% higher than the average wage for everyone else (about £34k), so isn’t really dogshit.

Care workers are the ones that are genuinely on dogshit wages.

Yup. Saying unvaxxed people lose their right to universal healthcare is a slippery slope and could lead to ‘smokers, fatties, alcoholics, drug addicts, people who play contact sports etc. don’t qualify for the NHS’.

What a load of bullocks. NHS treatment has been conditional for years. You have no right to treatment you only have access to it. We are miles away from mandatory vacations.

We seem to be edging towards manda
Chill pill required. Some seem to be suggesting no access to the NHS if you've not had the jab but get the virus, I disagree.
