Ok... So I don't want Pogba to be clear upfront.

But, it would be amusing if he joined us on a free at a reduced salary and Klopp turned him into a world-class player.

    Stolen unashamedly but class :emoticon-0100-smile

We got ourselves a new boss, they call him MBS
And all the Geordies I know think he is the best
The fella’s “fit and proper”, some find that proper weird
But what the hell do we care, ‘cause now we live in Riyadh

Ah me lads, the news has got us rowdy
It’s time to get the swords out cos now we’re owned by Saudi
The gays are strung from lampposts, the lasses in seclusion
Gannin’ along to Gallowgate, to see the execution.

He owns a million oil wells, the chap is filthy rich
And soon those million oil wells will be playing on our pitch
When journalists go missing we sing this from the Leazes
The boss has got his chainsaw out and cut the bloke to pieces.

Yes me lads, the river Tyne is foggy
And now the place belongs to the killer of Khashoggi
It’s time to ditch our principles, there’s no point acting bravely
Gannin along the Scotswood road, behind Amanda Staveley.

And when we get the chequebook out on the first day of New Year
There’ll be Kylian Mbappe and Salah coming here
The shallow grave for Eddie, the throne for Jurgen Klopp
‘Cause once we start the spending we won’t know how to stop.

It was down in southern Yemen we had a spot of trouble
And so we got our Air Force out and turned the place to rubble
The Houthis died in thousands, you should have seen their faces

Ive heard this many times about pogba, about how hes world class, maybe for France he is but in a utd shirt hes been nothing but a dabbing momo sissoko with pink hair.

World class my arse. Hes not even a teenth of the player Gerrard was.

world class for me means you have the head/brain to go with the talent and he doesn't have that so nah not for me.

If he’s clear upfront all the time he might score a few goals though

    Tad blinkered for me that
He simply isn’t world class at any rate cause his attitude sucks
I don't watch utd a lot but i have seen plenty of games where Pogba has been class

Wherever he is rated its too high imho cause of his attitude
But if he had half of Dirks spirit the guy would be very very good

personally i hope Ralf doesnt get a tune out of him

Is Pogba just not right for England?

I haven't watched him play in other leagues, but he's been ineffective in England. Another player, one of ours comes to mind. Iago Aspas. Total crap for us but a star in Spain apparently.

I think Ragnar will expect him to work and I don't think that's a concept that has hitherto occurred to Pogba.

look, when he is indulged and given space and not had to work he looks good. thats whay i mean by the same stuff.

Look at his goal in europe last year. He scores a worldie and stops playing. simply rests on the laurels of hitting one and his side actually ends up struggling to get over the line.

For me it is all attitude and work rate. he tried in that one world cup in 2018 and man utd fans were all on about if he played like that for us etc. he promptly decided he needed a walking stick and coloured hair.

he was younger in Italy and played as LCM in a 433 for juve who were dominant so he wasn't indulged but they were happy to move him on, very happy. They were advertising him for 2 years and were just sore about the agent fee that that paid.

IMO since the day he walked in to man utd he thought he was it and has been indulged consistently.

if anything his game running about and being free to run on and score or pas or whatever actually suits england and him.

Pogba strikes me as a player who plays well when the team plays well, but if they're not, then rather than trying to get them going he just doesn't bother. If I remember rightly he did have a run of form after Bruno arrrived and got Utd playing much better again; suddenly he could be bothered. Once Bruno's impact lessened a bit he stopped again. He wants to move to a good team, not make Man U into one.

I think he's a luxury that no PL side can afford. He's capable of some great creative moments but he's not prepared to put a shift in when necessary, and you can't get away with that in this league.
A lot of players from European leagues find the pace of the PL hard, and have to adapt or die. Even after years of playing here Pog gets caught in possession too often, then can't be arsed to try and repair the damage.
Talented player, but totally unprofessional - a playboy attitude.

the difference is wen we had to dig in verses villa AND wolves our forwards were willing to dig in right alongside everyone else. Ronaldo AND Pogba AND Fernandes have been watching utd defenders flounder with hands on hips.

If Rangnick can somehow get Utd flying, then Pogba could be a big boon to them. When on form, he's an all-action midfielder who can dominate the middle of the Park, something Utd could really do with. More likely he'll just leave in the summer though.

I think he is prepared to put a shift in when he wants to, but as you say, not always when its necessary.

IMO raganarock has far far more problem that that chump.

anyway its easy run one way then stop and watch others scramble. in klopp's system you sprint harder back than you do forward!

    Man utd have:

De gea. not a sweeper keeper. just sin't that good ant it. so a high line will be scary there. henderson is worse.

Slab head: turning circle of the evergrande and as slow as slow can be. they cannot play a high line with him unless its pure offside trap stuff.

straight away before we talk about cm intelligence and pressing and knowing hen to go and noe etc these are absolute bullet holes in the bottom of the boat that will hurt htem

Put Ronaldo up to to lead a line in pressing as well and really all he can do is patrol an 10 yard zone in fornt of cbs and fake press.

this is about assuming the guy wants a system more akin to klopp pressing than tuchel defending. I am fairly sure utd could park a bus at the back and knock it up to ronaldo for a system that could work but thats not whats being advertsied.
