Only it’s not true, like pretty much everything else you post on this thread... Dr. Eli David Tweet - Fact Check: False. There has been no announcement of a fourth COVID shot in Israel, nor that it could affect the Green Pass. On Tuesday, Israeli officials will meet to discuss the possibility of a fourth shot for certain immunocompromised individuals, but there are no such plans in place yet for the broader population.
Justice Secretary Dominic Raab saying on SKY that there are 250 in hospital and thought to be 200000 a day with omicrom. That's a big jump from yesterday's official figures
To me, this is living with it, at least with the information we have available now. Nothing's closed except travel to a few countries. Its a bit harder to do some stuff, but we can still do it. If there is a wave of Omicron (no matter how severe it is, we could still see abnormal pressure on a winter season which is already tricky) resources will become really tight in the NHS and other illnesses will see longer waiting lists for treatment. There's only so many staff to go around and they'll always treat the people most in need first. If we remained exactly as we were and the early signs about Omicron are wrong, we get in a right mess. I'm sorry to hear about your mother in law. Thoughts with you all.
Dominic Raab misheard or misunderstood the question, and now confirms 10 in hospital. Waiting for his correction on the 200,000. Yesterday was about 54000 cases of which 3000ish were omicrom
[Israel] Health Ministry advisory board decides against fourth COVID shot, for now Experts also don’t recommend cutting down period between second vaccine dose and booster, but propose increasing recovery period for Omicron patients. Health Ministry experts advising on COVID-19 policy decided overnight Sunday against recommending a fourth vaccine shot for the general population, a measure that has been raised as a possibility by the health minister and the premier. https://www.timesofisrael.com/healt...rd-decides-against-fourth-covid-shot-for-now/
Sorry I was just being a dick because I'm frustrated and thanks for your kind words. I still think that the response is disproportionate to the threat but if they're not sure how bad the threat is I'm guessing they're going safety first. On something else that may be covid related; does anyone know why car rentals are through the roof? The cheapest I can find for the missus is a little corsa for 2 weeks for the princely sum of 1700 quid!!!?? I know it's Christmas but im sure it was about 250 for 3 weeks last time I was home May 2019.
Everything on the shelf is through the roof, if it's even to be found on the shelf. Supermarkets now move the shelves further apart, and have items three deep instead of six or seven.
Today is the last day you can test positive for Covid and still be out of isolation before Christmas Seasons greetings
"There are still approximately 94,000 NHS staff who are unvaccinated. It's critical to patient safety that health and care staff get the jab to protect some of the most vulnerable people who are in their care and also keep the health service strong in the wake of omicron." I’m amazed the number is that high, the NHS is going to be in deep deep ****e if they stick to the plan of sacking the unvaccinated in april
As i've said multiple times.... and the question has to be, what information have they had that has helped them arrive at the decision not to.?
Of those 94,000 NHS staff, how many are front line care workers and how many are support staff, office staff, drivers etc? There may not be any particular "information that has helped them arrive at the decision"
