Exactly. It’s bollocks isn’t it? I’m no fan but Hamilton lost through no fault of his own and t’other one won due to someone else crashing and being allowed to jump forward 5 places and 11 seconds which he would never have been able to do in normal racing. Makes a mockery of the ‘’sport’’.
I think he can be criticised for leaving it late, but credit to Hamilton for eventually letting Verstappen retake the position Hamilton gained by cutting the first corner.
people questioning why mercedes didnt pit hamilton during the last safety car obviously dont know the rules. mind you neither do the fia.
do you think lunging in from miles behind and only just making the corner and in the process forcing the car off the track is the way to overtake? if the other driver decides sod this i have every right to turn in (much like how verstappen himself drives) there is invariably contact. i can see your hatred of hamilton. i hate him too. but i wont see him getting stick for something he didnt do. verstappen needs slagging off for his bullying tactic whilst cornering and his willingness to cheat just as much as hamilton needs slagging off for all his off track blm and woke nonesense.
They didn't, They need to sit down this winter and clarify the rules, no grey areas, and stick to them consistently. This has done damage to F1, but the result has to stand.
They couldn’t. But neither did Verstappen. RB rolled the dice and got lucky - an option also open to Mercedes.
Other drivers managed to stay in the track in exactly the same situation that Hamilton used to take a shortcut, and didn't get back on the track until he'd made the most of it..
i disagree void the race and award the title to both drivers,. harsh on hamilton who was nailed on winner and would have been wdc if the rules had been followed. they werent. and thats not his fault. the safety car regulations have always been illogical. why should the lead cars gap be wiped out?
I was about to say the same to you. The Verstappen pass on the first lap happens a dozen times every race, in the middle of the field. He took a chance and made it stick - as Brundle commented, it’s called motor racing.
Teams were told the lapped cars would not unlap themselves I agree with your safety car point, but am of the opinion that in all sports the referees decision should be final. That's why I hate VAR.
you only make that pit stop out of desperation. a la red bull if you are winning there is no need whatsoever to change tyres. if the rules are adhered to the safety car stays on track till the end of the race, why stop and hand over the lead?
well from your comment you obviously know very little about it and are making yourself look a complete fool. carry on its fun.

Ok. So Mercedes took a chance on the crashed car being removed slowly and the race ending behind the SC. It didn’t happen. So they made a mistake. I mean, they came second in a race they were leading, so they evidently didn’t get it right did they?
