I'm off to a pop up walk in booster place this morning to see if I can get my booster.

Its only been open 40 minutes and a crowd of anti vax protestor have appeared

The worst bit is it was set up to start with for the over 12 year olds that missed the school jab and extended to the over 40's booster

You could hand out leaflets saying they cannot have access to the NHS if they are ill with Covid19.

Also ask the standard nutter questions flat earth etc and ask to see if they have aluminium foil round their heads...you could also mention Bill Gates does not need to put a microchip in them... it was done years ago and they are in fact being closely followed and monitored now.

I think it depends what you call a problem, mate, and, if you will also link the effects that the measures taken cause too. For example, the 'austerity measures' that the tories took because we MUST 'reduce the deficit' apparently caused 130k preventable deaths. All of those measures pale into insignificance compared to the economic damage caused by lockdown and the 'stimulus measures' i.e. inventing money on spreadsheets. There is a virus, but, given the survival rate (99%ish), I'd argue the cure is likely to be much worse than the disease overall, even if that isn't apparent, immediately. IF we go into hyper inflation because of lockdown, and I think we probably will, eventually, all of this will look very different in hindsight.

As I said in reply to another response to this post, caution does not necessarily equate to lockdown. There are numerous negative impacts of lockdown, that is clearly why the government are keen to avoid them. However, for every bed taken up by someone hospitalised by Covid, that's a bed taken away from someone with another condition. When, by acting cautiously, we can limit the number of people hospitalised by it, we should all be doing that. For the majority of people, wearing a mask, being vaccinated, acting sensibly (or, in short, acting with caution) no harm will be done.

Around 1 in 45 we’re dying before the vaccine rollout. That’s over 2% and it doesn’t count long Covid implications. In a population of 70m people that’s 1.4m dying if we all catch Covid.

I'm laughing because I never thought real life could ever be crazier than my own ...

... this is all making me feel sadly normal.
