But no one plays 4-4-2 anymore mate. It’s just not done.

 

Apart from when people do play it and it is done.

Anyways for it to work you need wingers who cross the ball.

We don’t have that.

You need strikers who are good in the air. We don’t have that either.

You need two solid cm who are mobile and technically good and positionally. We don’t have that either.

So 4-4-2 doesn’t work for us.

There'd never have been a Bruce, which meant when a takeover happened we'd be dining at the top table and talking to Conte, Poch, Rose, etc. Without Ashley, we'd have been taken over years ago. I mean, it's impossible to understate just how bad an owner that bloke was.

1) supporters like yourself who are too quick to try and assign blame for the problems we are having, instead of getting behind the manager and players and supporting them
2) opposition teams for being better than us
3) Ashley for a lack of investment in every aspect of the club

5) the new owners for not finding an underhand way to bring top players in before the transfer window
6) our shirt sponsors for not giving outrageously good odds on Newcastle wins so that opposition teams would be tempted to bet on us and throw games when we are playing against them
7) Hatem Ben Arfa, for eating the three best members of our Academy team, when he was at the club
