Magic, I was going to commend you on your fortune-telling skills, until I realised that your post could refer to most of our fixtures so far this season/this year. Still, hope springs eternal, Christmas is coming, we haven't conceded for about 48 hours, mostly because we haven't played anyone since Saturday. Maybe Ralph will be visited by the ghosts of seasons past, present and yet to come, on Tuesday night, so that he wakes up on Wednesday morning, knowing exactly what he needs to do to give every Saints fan an early Christmas present.
Before the CP- Everton game I thought we had a chance of a draw, but now I think we will get another thumping. CP seem to have a team as good as Arsenal. Zaha is no longer their only match winner. We didn’t have a match winner before the weekend injuries, now we are struggling to find an effective forward. Would love to be wrong but experience has taught me that just when things couldn’t get worse, they do in Saintsworld.
Palace are nowhere near as good as Arsenal. Sure Zaha is a good player and Gallagher is on fire right now, but the rest of their players are average. We won't get thumped. We may lose, but it will be one goal either way or a draw. Everton were absolute dogshit yesterday.
I think Lawro is being kind to us with that prediction. Not sure where we will find a goal from if Theo and Long are our strikers...
I think Zaha, Gallagher & Ayew will be a very good test for even a full strength SFC back line. Even Edouard adds something extra. We’ll be lucky to keep them down to 2.
