Sam: as Martial appears to have been at pains to tell the world, I do not care for this particular driver. Doubtless for that reason (and I admit that my opinion is likely to be biased through my own knowledge and experience), I tend to disagree with what I believe to be the highly distorted statistics which seem to impress so many people who I believe are incapable (or unwilling) to see a bigger picture. However, I accept that this will always be the case when popular opinion is promoted through what people read and have little else to go on. Unlike many people who make considerable contributions to fora throughout the world, my opinion takes account of some of the politics within F1, most of which has never (and likely will never see light of day). However, I still have an opinion and sometimes I still want to say it. And that is part of the reason I am here under this pseudonym. - - - That said, I do find these things rather amusing; and I like the way you presented your question!
think i managed to de-cipher that little lot cc -- this is obviously going nowhere except further down crapper than it has allready gone , it seems we all have have different ways of debating , i will allways give everybody an attempt at a knowledgable reply to there topic with a formula 1 related responce addressing there individual points/s because it is the polite thing to do after they have bothered to go to the trouble of creating a topic in the first place - if you want to read my topic and then address each individual point i made with the single word " nonsense " without attempting to at least address each point it makes me think you obviously have a strong and powerful dislike of schumacher but could not actually think of a proper knowledgable formula 1 reply to actually counter the points you did not agree with -- --- it makes me wonder why you bothered to reply to my topic in the first place if the only answer you could come up with was " nonsense " --

There was nothing but conjecture in your opening post; and, as I have repeatedly said, that is why I countered it with similar logic. as i said we all have different ways of debating cc , i prefer to give people a reasoned formula 1 responce mixed with a lightly detailed formula 1 opinion of why i do or do not agree with them , i do this because they took the time to think up a topic in the first place and out of respect i would not give anybody single word answers of " nonesense " to any of the points they raised , as i said we all have a different way of debating on here , giving single word answers of "nonsense " does not stimulate any kind of intelligent debate on any forum whatever the subject matter may be --

If the same old guff keeps being regurgitated, I am progressively less likely to feel like explaining my thinking, especially to someone who already claims to understand it! But in attempting to discuss the matter Martial, you made a number of statements which immediately side-tracked Thomas away from his intended shed by creating a reaction to your list of 'givens'. If instead, you'd written something akin to what you have just said (such as "The point of this topic is to discuss whether or not you believe that - given the circumstances at McLaren and Ferrari's signing of the lacklustre Kimi Raikkonen - Schumacher would have won the 07 and 08 WDCs"), you could have avoided changing the points of the track which lead to the inevitable Schumacher 'dead-end'. Nonetheless; it's fun!
